This Universal app provides a convenient way to record scores for various games without the need for pen and paper. It simulates the experience of using ruled paper, giving it a familiar and intuitive feel. The app is versatile and can be used to record scores for games like Scrabble, darts, golf, as well as card games like UNO, Hand and Foot, and even sailing regattas. It can also be used for simple number calculations.

One of the standout features of Score Recorder is its ability to display real-time running totals for each player's scores. This eliminates the need for manual calculations after each round, minimizing mental arithmetic.

The app allows for easy entry of player or team names, with the option to customize colors. It also supports scoring multiple games simultaneously, with an unlimited number of players per game. Completed games can be easily deleted by simply swiping right to left on the Games list screen.

To get started, simply tap the Games button at the bottom of the screen to create a new game and add players. Double-tap a player's name to change their color.

Entering a score is as easy as tapping on the player's name or total score, or tapping directly below their last score entry. Simply input the score using the keypad that appears and confirm by tapping OK (on iPhone) or return (on iPad). Negative scores can be entered using the minus sign at the top left of the iPhone keypad or in the usual position on the iPad keyboard.

Deleting a score or game is straightforward as well. Long-press on a score to reveal a red minus button beside it. Tap on the minus button to reveal the red Delete button and confirm deletion.

Score Recorder offers sorting options based on players' total scores, allowing you to view scores in ascending or descending order. The columns in the scoring table are automatically sorted as scores are added, modified, or deleted.

Scores can be easily modified by tapping directly on them.

Each player can record a large number of scores for each game, and you can include a sizable number of players in each game as well.

An additional feature of Score Recorder is the ability to add notes to each game. From the Notes screen, you can use the Action button to send a game as a CSV file via email, SMS, or another compatible application like Numbers.

If you prefer to keep your device from locking while using Score Recorder, you can disable auto-lock in the iOS Settings app. This will ensure that the device remains active while Score Recorder is running.

Score Recorder is also designed with accessibility in mind and includes VoiceOver capabilities to assist visually impaired users.

The app is compatible with iOS versions 11.0 through 15 and runs on Big Sur.
